State Your Story Co. makes shirts for the women who keep those places running. Not the tractor-at-sunset version of farming — the actual one, where chores happen before daylight and the forecast decides your week.

What we make

Every design pairs a state outline with a phrase worked into it. The state line stops short at the lettering and picks up again on the other side, so the shape and the words read as one mark instead of two things competing for the same space.

That took an embarrassing number of attempts to get right, and almost nobody notices it consciously. That's rather the point.

Every design is distressed — not with a filter dropped over the top, but worn into the outline itself, so it looks like a shirt that has already been somewhere.

How it's made

Printed one at a time in the United States on Bella+Canvas 3001 cotton, only after you order it. No warehouse, no crates of sizes nobody wanted, nothing sitting in a box for a year waiting to become someone's problem.

Nine color pairings, and every one was chosen so the ink actually reads from across a room. That sounds obvious. It's the thing most shops get wrong.
